Claudia and Bill Eagle are at it again!

Each spring, the local couple distributes books to kindergartners at Lewis and Clark Elementary in St. Helens.

On Tuesday morning, May 21, the two brought books to the kindergarten class at the school.

Every year, all kindergarten-aged children in St. Helens School District receive a “first book” thanks to donations from the Kiwanis Club of St. Helens, spearheaded by the Eagles.

Among the Eagle’s book donations are the SAFE of Columbia County’s Women’s Resource Center, Columbia County Jail and the St. Helens Library.

Read the history of the book donations in the attached Chronicle story.
