Pixley said when EMS and CCSO arrived on scene, the victim was conscious and breathing but was not seriously injured. He did have some injuries that required him to be transported to the hospital. The victim was injured by his own bull and the bull was, and continued to be contained, as of late Tuesday afternoon.
Pixley said there is no threat to the public.
According to various studies, bull attacks are among the most dangerous attacks to humans by animals. It is recommended that various protection measures be taken before working with bulls, including the use of chutes, gates, restraints and even wearing helmets, which could prevent head injuries.
