Columbia County Sheriff’s Office
Feb. 12 – Fraud activity was reported in the 70000 block of Columbia River Highway at 12:03 a.m.
Feb. 12 – A disturbance in progress in the 64000 block of Vocana Lane at 12:16 a.m. led to the arrest of Michael Moore, 32, of Deer Island. Moore was arrested for violating a restraining order.
Feb. 12 – Deputies assisted FBI at 9:04 a.m. in the 67000 block of Jones Road.
Feb. 12 – At 10:32 a.m. burglary was reported in the 26000 block of Old Rainier Road.
Feb. 12 – Harassment was reported in the 56000 block of Turley Road at 9:33 p.m.
Feb. 13 – At 8:26 a.m. hazard was reported on Spring Lane and Highway 30.
Feb. 13 – Littering was reported in the 33000 block of Gilmore Road at 10:29 a.m.
Feb. 13 – At 10:57 a.m. fraud activity was reported in the 73000 block of Elk Creek Road.
Feb. 13 – Harassment was reported in the 34000 block of Millard Road at 2:10 p.m.
Feb. 13 – At 2:14 a disturbance in progress was reported in the 26000 block of Cannon Road.
Feb. 14 – A traffic accident with unknown injuries was reported in the 72000 block of Apiary Road at 10:55 a.m.
Feb. 14 – A domestic incident was reported at 12:07 p.m. in the 27000 block of Kingsley Road.
Feb. 14 – At 1:43 p.m. fraud activity was reported in the 34000 block of Millard Road.
Feb. 14 – Harassment was reported at 3:12 p.m. in the 71000 block of Terry Road.
Feb. 15 – At 8:49 a.m. harassment was reported in the 33000 block of Tarbell Road.
Feb. 15 – A traffic injury with unknown injuries was reported in the 68000 of Nicolai Road.
Feb. 15 – At 2:14 p.m. a traffic accident causing unknown injuries was reported on Highway 30 and Bennett Road.
Feb. 15 – Deputies responded to a disturbance in the 76000 block of Atkins Road at 5.38 p.m.
Feb. 16 – A disturbance was reported in the 26000 block of Cannon Road at 10:55 a.m.
Feb. 16 – A traffic accident causing injuries was reported on Apiary Road and Old Rainier Road at 3:19 p.m.
Feb. 16 – At 9:08 p.m. a noise complaint was reported in the 31000 block of Pittsburg Road.
Feb. 16 – A domestic incident was reported in the 75000 block of Price Road at 11:14 p.m.
Feb. 17 – Theft was reported at 2:42 p.m. in the 74000 block of Columbia River Highway.
Feb. 17 – At 3:34 p.m. fraud activity was reported in the 35000 block of Maple Street.
Feb. 17 – A traffic accident with unknown injuries was reported at 4:06 p.m. on Scappose Vernonia Highway and Apple Valley.
Feb. 17 – At 8:27 p.m. endangering was reported in the 73000 block of Apiary Road.
Feb. 18 – Hazard was reported on Keasey Road and Flack Road at 1:49 a.m.
Feb. 18 – A traffic accident causing unknown injuries was reported by milepost 16 on Scappoose Vernonia Highway at 12:01 p.m.
Feb. 18 – At 1:50 p.m. a hit and run causing no injuries was reported in the 64000 block of Columbia River Highway.
Feb. 18 – A stolen vehicle was recovered in the 69000 block of Wilbur Road at 4:38 p.m.
Scappoose Police Department
Feb. 12 - Following an investigation on East Columbia Avenue near Northeast 2nd Street police arrested Jaraco Richardson, 20, for crime damage and disorderly conduct.
Feb. 12 - Police responded to the intersection of Northeast 2nd Street and Northeast Williams Street on a report of theft from vehicle.
Feb. 12 – Theft from yards was reported in the 33000 block of Southwest Havlik Drive.
Feb. 13 - Police arrested Abby Jensen, 41, in the 51000 block of Columbia River Highway for driving under the influence of intoxicants.
Feb. 15 - Police responded to the 52000 block of Captain Roger Kucera Way on a report of juvenile situation. Following investigation two male juveniles were placed into protective custody for possession of marijuana. Both juveniles were referred to the Columbia County Juvenile Department.
Feb. 16 - Following a traffic stop in the 34000 block of East Columbia Avenue police arrested Cerena Barros, 28, for two outstanding warrants out of the St. Helens Municipal Court. The vehicle Barros was driving was impounded and she was cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured.
Feb. 18 - Police responded to an injury crash on Columbia River Highway near Southwest E M Watts road.
Feb. 18 - Nicholas Tyler, 38, was arrested in the 52000 block of Northeast 2nd Street following an investigation. Tyler was arrested for failure to register as a sex offender.
Scappoose Fire District
Feb. 9 – A lock out was reported at the OHSU Clinic on Old Portland Road at 4:49 p.m. OHSU requested assistance to get door open only. After approval, firefighters used a hydraulic ram after other failed attempts trying to remove door handle mechanism through the lock method and K-tool.
Feb. 12 - A commercial structure fire was reported in Crestwood Cabinets on Medlik Drive at 9:10 p.m. Upon arrival firefighters saw a single story large metal building with nothing showing. An employee stated a wall outlet had broken loose and shorted out against the box. Firefighters shut off the circuit breaker and applied water to area of smoke. Employees were directed to use a lock out tag to keep circuit from being re-energized, and advised to have the circuit inspected by an electrician prior to turning breaker back on.
Feb. 10 – At 5:50 p.m. a two-vehicle motor accident causing injuries was reported on Highway 30 and southwest Old Portland Road.
Feb. 12 – A motor vehicle accident causing injuries was reported on Gilmore Road and Crown Zellerbach Road at 4 p.m. A possible medical episode caused the vehicle to ditch and end up on railroad tracks.
Feb. 18 – A vehicle rear-ended, causing a vehicle accident with injuries at 4:30 p.m. on southwest Maple Street and southwest E M Watts Road.
Feb. 19 – A vehicle accident causing injuries near Fred Meyers on Havlik Drive and Southwest Old Portland Road was reported at 8:20 p.m.
Feb. 20 – Smell of gas in residence was reported in southeast Oak Grove Drive at 12:59 p.m. On arrival, firefighters were met outside by the homeowner who stated she came home to a strong smell of gas in the residence. She was in the process of remodeling the residence and just a week ago or so had a gas stove and fireplace installed. She states she has used both appliances before without indecent. She had opened a lot of the windows and doors in an attempt to clear out the gas. Firefighters narrowed down the source and removed the front cover and turned off the gas to the appliance and also to the residence. The owner was advised to not turn back on the gas to either the house or the appliance until an installer checks it.
Feb. 21 – A vehicle accident causing injuries was reported on Walker Road and Stone Road at 11:02 p.m. One car rolled over with long extrication time with patient entering into trauma.
Rainier Police Department
Feb. 11 - A citizen was upset about log trucks using Fern Hill Road during the same hours that school buses were dropping off students.
Feb. 11 - A man was upset that his ex-girlfriend came to his house to retrieve her daughter’s property and they got into an argument. An officer was able to restore peace between the parties.
Feb. 11 - A side mirror was reportedly torn from a vehicle in the parking lot of El Tapatio.
Feb. 11 - A caller reported seeing suspicious people that were ‘snooping’ around the neighborhood and trespassing on multiple properties. Officers contacted the pair, who initially gave false information as to their identity. William Beebe III, 41, of Salem, was taken into custody for two outstanding warrants, false information to a police officer, possession of a weapon by a felon and carrying a concealed weapon. Tiffany Reed, 29, of Salem, was taken into custody on four outstanding warrants, false information to a police officer, and unlawful possession of meth and heroin.
Feb. 12 - A semi-truck was reportedly out of service on West 6th Street. The company had help en route.
Feb. 12 - An officer stopped a vehicle that only had fog lights on after dark. The woman had just rented the vehicle and did not know how to operate the lights. The officer assisted her with a tutorial.
Feb. 12 - Officers responded to an audible alarm at the credit union. It was set off accidentally.
Feb. 13 - A caller reported a prowler in his basement. The ‘prowlers’ were people visiting another person at the residence, unbeknownst to the caller.
Feb. 13 - A gate at a facility was open after hours. An employee was contacted and the facility was secured.
Feb. 13 - Tanner Hart, 21, of Rainier, was cited for driving while suspended.
Feb. 13 - Justin Finnell, 31, of Rainier, was cited for driving while suspended.
Feb. 14 - A person requested to be transported to the hospital as they reported hearing voices.
Feb. 14 - A bouncing tire and wheel on the bridge hit an unsuspecting motorist. The tire appeared to have come from either a utility or camping trailer. The owner has not been located.
Feb. 15 - Natalie Williams, 44, of Longview, was cited for driving uninsured.
Feb. 15 - Officers responded to a family dispute over the dissolution of a business.
Feb. 15 - John Krueger, 37, of Kelso, was cited for driving uninsured.
Feb. 15 - Monica Ybanez, 30, of Hemet, Calif. was cited for driving uninsured.
Feb. 16 - A caller was worried about a driver they saw hunched over in their vehicle. The driver was just resting.
Feb. 16 - Officers responded to a family disturbance related to their business. Peace was restored.
Feb. 16 - Animal control was advised of some dogs that were habitually running at large.
Feb. 17 - Two juveniles were reportedly acting suspicious. An officer made contact with them and they were released to their guardians.
Feb. 17 - An alarm was accidentally set off at Teevin Brothers.
Feb. 17 - An abandoned vehicle on Washington Way was tagged for tow.
CCSO Clatskanie Station
Feb. 12 – A traffic complaint was reported on Highway 47 and Highway 30 at noon.
Feb. 13 – At 6:47 p.m. criminal mischief was reported in the 400 block of Southwest Bel Air Drive.
Feb. 14 – A traffic stop led to the arrest of Trask Hill, 20, of Clatskanie, in the 200 block of Southeast 3rd Street at 6:47 p.m. Hill was arrested on a warrant.
Feb. 14 – A follow-up on a report in the 21000 block of Cedar Grove Road at 8:54 p.m. led to the arrest of Tyson Lorentson, 21, of Clatskanie. Lorentson was arrested on a warrant.
Feb. 14 – At 9 p.m. a noise complaint was reported in the 400 block of Northwest 5th Street.
Feb. 14 – A follow-up on a report in the 24000 block of Warren Road at 11:07 p.m. led to the arrest of Seth Makinson, 21, of Clatskanie. Makinson was arrested on a warrant.
Feb. 15 – At 9:50 a.m. theft was reported in the 76000 block of Highway 47.
Feb. 15 – Fraud activity was reported at 10:06 a.m. in the 600 block of East Columbia River Highway.
Feb. 15 – Theft was reported in the 76000 block of Highway 47 at 3:03 p.m.
Feb. 17 – At 7:37 a.m. a disturbance in progress was reported in the 300 block of Bel Air Drive.
Feb. 17 – Fraud activity was reported in the 90 block of Southwest Bel Air Drive at 11:14 a.m.
Feb. 18 – At 3:13 p.m. harassment was reported in the 200 block of Southwest Orchard Street.
