St. Helens Police Department

May 17

11:15 p.m., David D. Hendrickson, 28, of Cottage Grove, was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant near the 100 block of N. Columbia River Highway.

7:20 p.m., a bicycle was reported stolen from the 2300 block of Columbia Blvd.

May 18

3:02 a.m., Kenneith Ray West, 51, of Portland, was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant in the 2200 block of Gable Road. He is charged with drug offenses, including the possession of paraphernalia and .70 grams of methamphetamine.

4:38 a.m., Matthew Brian Goinski, 45, of Hillsboro, was arrested for the unlawful possession of 1.50 grams of methamphetamine in the 58000 block of Columbia River Highway.

4:17 p.m., Jacob Ronald Nelson, 25, of St. Helens, was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 200 block of N. 6th Street.

6:56 p.m., Madeline Lauree Cavazos, 27, of Salem, was arrested in the 40 block of Salmon Street. She was charged with aggravated harassment, interfering with a police officer, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. During the course of investigating, Cavazos was not following given commands and attempting to walk away. When told she was under arrest, as officers were attempting to check her cuffs for a proper fit and lock them, Cavazos began resisting and pulling, prompting the arresting officer to utilize the use of force in gaining compliance.

8:38 p.m., Jason Donald Smith, 35, of St. Helens, was arrested on an outstanding warrant near Columbia Blvd. and N. 18th Street.

May 19

4:15 p.m., Andrew Lawrence Powell, 36, of St. Helens, was arrested on an outstanding warrant near the 100 block of N. Vernonia Road.

5:22 p.m., Steven Robert Skarberg, 61, of St. Helens, was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 100 block of Wonderly Drive.

11:18 p.m., Terra Li Swartz, 23, of St. Helens, was arrested for a DUII and reckless driving in the 36000 block of Pittsburg Road.

May 20

3:12 p.m. Nicholas Timothy Odom, 27, of Astoria, was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants near Gable Road on the Columbia River Highway.

May 22

11:34 p.m., Jace Allen Massutti, 35, of Longview, was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant near the intersection of Columbia River Highway and Sykes Road. He was also charged with the felony possession of .90 grams of methamphetamine.

May 23

1:13 p.m., Rodney Keith Bates, 47, of St. Helens, was arrested for disorderly conduct while at the Best Western, located in the 500 block of S. Columbia River Highway.

-Elizabeth Ellen Diehl, 23, of St. Helens, was arrested for an outstanding warrant and giving false information to police in the 500 block of N. 10th Street.

-Shawn Leroy Crane, 47, of St. Helens, was arrested for three outstanding warrants in the 500 block of S. 9th Street.

May 24

6:58 a.m., Larry Neal J. Daugherty, 32, of Scappoose, was taken into custody for an outstanding felony warrant in the 400 block of S. 10th Street.

9:11 p.m., Nicholas Vaugh Ulch, 37, of St. Helens, was taken into custody for an outstanding felony warrant near the 2000 block of Old Portland Road.
