William “Bill” Jauron passed away on Nov. 25, 2021. A mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Jan. 15, 2021 at St. Fredric Church with a celebration of life immediately following at the Yankton Grange, 33065 Pittsburg Rd., St. Helens.

Michael Paschall, a longtime resident of Scappoose, passed away on Dec. 30, 2021. There are no services at this time.

Kenneth Walter Eib was born in St. Helens, Oregon on June 20, 1939 and passed away with his wife and children at his side on Dec. 12, 2021. Ken attended St. Helens schools and Cascade College in Portland, Oregon. He was employed at Boise Cascade for over 30 years and retired at age 55.

James Joseph Langlo of Clatskanie, Oregon, age 84, passed away on Jan. 9, 2022 at Community Home Health and Hospice in Longview, Washington.

Robert Joseph Cernac, “Joe”, born July 29, 1931 passed away on Sun., Dec. 12, 2021 at Emanuel Hospital of an aneurysm. Joe was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Carol, his parents Tony and Olga and his sister Elizabeth.

Cynthia Matzen died peacefully on Dec. 10, 2021, after a long illness. Cindy was born in Santa Rosa, California. After graduating high school in Crescent City, California, she eventually moved to St. Helens where she met her husband, Ron Matzen.

Martha Cramer, 87, of Rainier, Oregon passed away January 4, 2022 in Longview, Washington.

Robert R. Peterson Sr., of Columbia City, Oregon, died Nov. 19, 2021, at home with his beloved granddaughter Heather by his side. Bob was born Nov. 23, 1931, in North Dakota, to Reuben Author and Lucille Rachel Peterson.

Born July 11, 1934 in Irvine, California to Frank and Clara Moan. Patricia moved with her parents and two sisters, Jeanette Barnett and Gayle Hall, to Myrtle Creek, Oregon where she graduated High School and met the “love of her life”, Charles E. Leffler, Sr. They were married in 1952.

Fred Steinmetz passed peacefully on Dec. 7, 2021 at his home in Warren, Oregon, at the age of 87. Fred was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. After serving in the US Navy, he entered a career in newspaper sales which later took him to California.

Sandra Lea Berg was born to Jean and Merle Berg on July 16, 1940 in Portland, Oregon. Sandra was the eldest and last living of four children. She had two brothers, Roberg Berg and David Springer, and one sister Sherri Wold.

Karen Olsen passed away peacefully at home on Wed., Nov. 10, due to cancer. Karen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and a longstanding member of the First Lutheran Church of St. Helens, Oregon.
