Claude Elvis Weaver Jr.

Claude Elvis Weaver Jr. was born on Nov. 10, 1943 in Vernonia, Oregon to Claud E. Weaver Sr. and Mary M. Reynolds Weaver. He passed away on Aug. 4, 2019 in Clatskanie, Oregon.

Claude graduated from Vernonia High School in 1962. After high school, he joined the Navy and served from 1962 – 1966. After returning from the Navy, he worked at the Wauna Mill, until his retirement, as a millwright from 1966 – 2006. He married his wife, Sherry M. White, on April 11, 1982.

He is survived by his six children: Joe (Cheryl) Weaver; Don (Cindy) Weaver; Kevin Weaver; Ramonda Willson; Ronald (Carry) White; and Eric White; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four brothers living in St. Helens, Oregon: “Dick” Martin (Barbara) Weaver; Tony (Ethel) Weaver; Tom (Vicki) Weaver; and Larry (Christi) Weaver.

He was preceded in death by his father Claud; mother Mary; sisters Mary Jones, Peggy Gamroth, and Judy Heckathorn; and brother Roy A. Weaver.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life potluck from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. on August 24, 2019 at the American Legion Hall, 930 N. 5th St., Clatskanie, Oregon 97016.
