The St. Helens Arts & Cultural Commission is sponsoring a family pumpkin carving contest with cash prizes.

Bring your carved pumpkin to St. Helens City Hall between Oct. 17-21 (Mon.-Fri., 8:30 a.m. - noon and 1 - 5 p.m.) and enter to win. Voting will be conducted by the public on October 22. First place will receive $100, second place - $75, and third place - $50. Only one entry allowed per family. Pumpkins must weigh less than 15 pounds and can be no more than 16 inches in height, including the stem. LED candles will be provided by the Arts & Cultural Commission to illuminate the pumpkins. If your pumpkin entry is not hollowed out, consider bringing your own lighting to illuminate your pumpkin.
