There was a great turnout for the 6th Annual Columbia County Economic Team (CCET) Golf Scramble at Wildwood Golf Course on Friday, May 3.

“It was just a great morning of fun,” CCET Executive Director Chuck Daughtry said. “We’ve had a lot of support from our business community and we raised some money for the Columbia Pacific Food Bank.”

To be precise, the scramble raised $185 for the food bank. After a quick bit of math off the top of his head, Executive Director Casey Wheeler said that money would amount to about 455 meals the food bank could would be able to provide due to the contribution.

Ixtapa Mexican Restaurant catered the event with a meal of chicken and beef fajitas.

The Clatskanie PUD golf team won the scramble with a gross score of 56, followed by the “Hunger Busters” who very nearly tied the group were it not for handicap, and team “Rightline” took third place with a score of 58.
